Quilt Pattern Inspiration

I'm writing this post for archival purposes. The wedding quilt is considered a variation of the mariner's compass. The original inspiration for my quilt came from an image of a wall-hanging about 4 x 4 feet called the Megabyte Spikes quilt. (The website is defunct, but I saved a copy of the image below for my reference.) JoEllen generated a pattern to work for a queen-size bed.
